Another thing, shouldn't there be diplomatic immunity in the galaxy? As it is, when you go to war your poor diplomat dies...Answer: Diplomats are good for improving relations with other civs, and some leaders come with additional perks when placed in the diplomat slot as mentioned.
By diplomat dies what do they mean? The leader should just go back into the unassigned leaders list
