Likes

  • The radial bar around the sectors being reworked to only indicate met civs, rather than all civs present.

  • Likes the unique asymetrical nature of the nocturnal ability

  • Really likes the Phalenoid map colors

  • New tile Icons

Dislikes

  • Doesn’t understand what the point of locking civ screen behind colonial policies tech turn 1, and honestly, I don’t think most people do, unless we incorporate it into a tutorial as the first tech for example purposes

  • Does not clearly denote when seasons change, was not indicated on any events or U.I after the first season.

  • Misses Tile color coding (so do most people)

Suggestions/opinions

  • If the Phalenoid advance have an ability revolving around changing seasons, that needs to be more clearly denoted in the U.I

  • He noted that the long ship names don’t fit in the ship tooltip, I suggest making ship names an auto scrolling text to remedy this.

  • Trade license totals should be more readily displayed, maybe in the diplomacy screen or on the resource bar up top

  • If colonial policies will continue to gatekeep civ menu, than cost should increase to 3-5 since having it at cost 1 feels redundant

  • Events with other factions/civs should not trigger until you have a universal transmitter to communicate

Bugs/Crashes

  • Tiles on planet menu dont don't color code on hover correctly sometimes.

  • Doesn’t understand what the point of locking civ screen behind colonial policies tech turn 1, and honestly, I don’t think most people do, unless we incorporate it into a tutorial as the first tech for example purposes

  • Since he’s more familiar with the games, he tends to skip past cutscenes
