The Primary Multiplicity computer stores the global settings that manage and control Multiplicity operations on all Secondary computers.   It is the Primary computer's keyboard and mouse that interacts with all the Secondary computers whether they are Seamless or KVM connections.

Key items about a Multiplicity Primary:

  • It is the only computer in which a KVM session to any remote Secondary can be initiated from.

  • All Seamless and KVM Secondary computers are added, edited and removed here.

  • It is the location where Hotkeys are added, edited and created.

  • Changing a Secondary to a Primary will required it to be activated before it will operate as a Primary.  Any Primary must be deactivated prior to being able to promote a Secondary to a Primary.
