Quickly hide & show your desktop icons by double-clicking blank space on your desktop. Depending on your version of Fences, this option may be found under the “Vanish”, “Hide”, or “Quick-hide” tab:

To use Fences' quick-hide feature, double click blank space anywhere on your desktop and your icons will disappear. Double click again, and they will return

To change which fences remain visible during a quick-hide, right click blank space in a fence and choose the option “Exclude this Fence from quick-hide” from its “View” menu. This can also be done for any individual icon on the desktop

This option it to turn on/off the quick-hide feature

Automatically hide icons when desktop is not in use

This option will turn on/off the function to have the desktop icons hide when not in use

There are also options to set the time in which it takes for this option to activate

Automatically show icons when desktop is in use

This option will turn on/off the function to have the desktop icons show from their hidden state of the desktop is interacted with

Additional options

Always show icons at startup

This option will turn on/off the function to have the Fences shown on the desktop at startup
