AI Templates - Assistants

Here you can find a list of AI Assistant Templates to use with DesktopGPT.

Clicking one of the above Assistant Templates (or inputting one of the commands into the prompt bar) will generate a pre-written prompt template into DesktopGPT’s prompt field. This can then be filled out to tailor the selected AI model’s response.

For example, the /coverletter Template will load the following template for you to fill out:

In this template, type an answer to each question into text box that appears. You may then click “Next” for each question.

You can click “Submit” when you’ve finished answering, or to skip the remaining questions. This will generate a response from the selected AI model:

From here, you can use the scroll bar to scroll and read the entire generated response.

The following additional hotkeys options will appear at the bottom of the UI:

Modify Response (Alt+A)

Triggers Follow-up Actions for instructing the selected AI model to modify their previous response.

Copy (Ctrl+C)

Copies the currently generated AI response to your clipboard.

Show/Hide Response (Alt+R)

Compacts or expands the DesktopGPT UI window to/from a display of the prompt bar and the currently selected AI model.
