Backup of Fences Configuration Settings

Backups of Fences Layouts/Snapshots are available for restoring Fences to a previous desktop layout.

However, to backup the configuration of the Fences settings themselves, this can be done through an export of the software’s Windows Registry entries:

HKLM

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Fences

HKCU

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Fences

Batch File

This batch file will export them both and place them in the current users \Documents folder.

To restore these specific settings, double click each reg file and follow \ accept the prompts from Windows.

 

Note: You will need to log-off/login or reboot after restoring the .reg files
