What are Stardock Software Subscriptions

Stardock Software Subscriptions represent a form of Software as a Service (SaaS) that provides users access to various applications through subscription-based plans. This subscription model eliminates the need for additional payments for major version upgrades, as they are seamlessly included within the subscription package. Users also benefit from continuous email support throughout their subscription period, ensuring ongoing assistance and guidance. 

To ensure uninterrupted access to the software, users must maintain an active Stardock Subscription for that specific product. If the subscription lapses, the software will stop working until the subscription is renewed.

What is a ‘Lifetime' or 'Permanent' license’?

A ‘Lifetime' or 'Permanent' license is a one-time purchase for the version purchased. For example, if you purchased a lifetime license for Fences 4, it would be a one-time fee and you would receive Minor updates for that version’s ‘lifetime’ (4.1, 4.2, etc).

However, unlike subscription versions of select products, you will not receive Major updates (4 → 5 → 6 etc) at no charge.

Business customers have multiple options that can be either non-reoccurring or reoccurring, depending on their preference. Please contact Corporate Sales for additional information about how each product is licensed.

Managing Stardock Software Subscriptions

Subscriptions will automatically renew at your initial purchase price, meaning the price you pay for the first year of purchase, that price will also be your renewal price as long as you continue the subscription.

Subscriptions can be reviewed and managed from the associated Stardock account’s Subscriptions page, located at:

https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/subscriptions

Alternatively, subscriptions can be reviewed and managed from the emailed order notice sent by FastSpring (Stardock’s authorized merchant of record). This account management link is also included here for convenience:

https://stardock.onfastspring.com/kdts/account/

After reaching FastSpring’s Account Management page using the email address associated with the order, click the ‘Subscriptions’ tab, and from this page, you can select the “Manage” dropdown menu to manage your subscription.

As pictured above, on the “Account Details and Payment Methods” tab, payment information can be reviewed, added, and managed. The recipient profile information can also be reviewed or edited.
