What should show on the quick access shortcut list?

These options control the quick access items of the start menu

The quick access menu is on the left side of the Windows 10 Style start menu

 

Items can be added, removed, reordered or have display options changed:

Display as a link - This option will open to the selected location

Display as a menu - This option will set an in-place jump list

Set icon - Custom images for added items to this list can also be used, by clicking “Set icon…” and selecting an image from the navigation window, then clicking “Open”

How should the menu look?

Customize menu visual appearance

This area has the options to change the color, background, animations and more.

Change start menu colors

Use automatic color for start menu: On/Off

If off is selected, the option to select your own color for the start menu will be available

Selected item accent color

Overrides the default color for the start menu accent.

Adjust menu transparency effects

Toggle the Mica effect On/Off, and adjust the transparency level of the start menu

 

 

 

 

Fonts

Individual font and size scaling options for Items, Headers, or Menu. Global menu scaling can also be adjusted

Visual touches

This section can be opened to change additional visual effects on the start menu

Round the corners of the menu and menu elements: On/Off

Animate the menu when opening it: On/Off

If “On” the menu will have a sliding animation, if “Off” it will appear in place

Offset the menu from the taskbar

This option sets if there is space between the start menu and the taskbar

Always/Only when centered start button:

Do not offset the menu horizontally to ensure it lines up with the start button

This option is to set if the start menu will always open above the start button or not

Use a custom menu background: On/Off

Settings area to select a background for the Start Menu, also has transparency and color settings

Power Menu Options

Show shutdown and reboot options when connected via Remote Desktop

Advanced options

Show more tiles on start

Adds more area to display tiles on the right side of the start menu

Show recently added apps

Adds recently installed applications to the top of the alphabetical list of applications

Shortcut icons should be sized

Changes the size of the tile icons

Size options are: Tiny, Small Medium, Large, Extra Large, Huge, and Absurd

Use full screen menu

Opens the start menu to fill the entire screen

Show app list in start menu

Option to turn on/off the alphabetical applications list

Start menu should open showing all programs list

Combines with the last option with how the menu is displayed

Load up custom static tile images (Experimental)

Loads up the app defined tile images rather than icon.  These are the images used on the Win10 start menu in Win10

Force icons to use more of the tile area when not a custom tile image

Resizes the the icon in the tile area to be larger

Removed the tile look, will look more like the Windows 11 start menu style

Use a more faded background for tiles

Changes the style of the tiles slightly

Synchronize pinned items from the OS menu with Start11

Syncs the OS pinned start items to the Start11 start
