Fences UI: Personalization / Color & Appearance

In Fences 5, this tab will appear as “Personalization”:

Show Headers / Labels

In Fences 5:

Earlier versions of Fences:

Settings for the headers/labels (title) of the Fences

Never - The header/label will never be displayed
On Mouse-Over - The header/label will only show when the mouse is moved over the Fence
Always - The header/label will always display

Background Style and Color / Background Color

Some options may appear differently in different versions of Fences. More options may be found under the “More options” button pictured below.

All Fences drop down

This option selects which Fence you are making style and color adjustments to. This option can be set to all Fences at once or select and individual Fence

Reset to default

This button will set all Fences to the default style and color settings

Transparency

This slider will set how transparent the Fence will be

Color Intensity

This slider will adjust color settings

Tint

This slider will adjust the color tint

Saturation

This slider will set the amount of color saturation

Adjust title font

The button controls the font selection, font size, and font style of the Fences labels

Adjust title text color

This button controls the color settings for the Fences title label

Darken Fence area title bars

This option sets the title area in a darker shade than the rest of the Fence

Round corners of the Fence area

This option sets the shape of the Fence edges

Translucent Fence backgrounds

The option will change the translucency of the Fence

This option will add a small border around the Fence

Additional Tweaks

Animate icons when they move

This option sets the animation of icons when they are being moved

Fade out scrollbars when inactive

This option sets the scrollbars to only be visible when mousing over a Fence

Hide shortcut arrows on desktop icons

This button contains the settings for when the Windows desktop shortcut arrows are shown
