Multiplicity 3 Overview
About Multiplicity 3
Via a Primary (controller) \ Secondary (the controlled) relationship, Multiplicity allows a single Primary PC's keyboard and mouse to control multiple local and remote Secondary PCs on a local network. Multiplicity supports LAN, Private WAN, and wifi network connections. Â
Multiplicity can operate as a KVM switch by virtualizing its core functions; to control multiple PCs with one keyboard, mouse, and monitor.  With this, Multiplicity reduces the cost and overhead associated with deploying and managing physical KVM switches and associated cabling.
Multiplicity provides unique capabilities not available with hardware KVM switches. Users of Multiplicity are able to:
Drag/drop files and folders
Copy/paste formatted text and images
Listen to audio from multiple PCs
Seamlessly switch between PCs and monitors via mouse, hotkey, and touchÂ
Lock/unlock all PCs at once with one keyboard command
Automatic AES-256 data encryption and file compression ensure all data sent between PCs is fast and secure
Multiplicity 3 Connection Types
Seamless
Seamless connections are used when the additional PCs you wish to control are local (on the same desk for example) and each has its own display monitor. In seamless mode, the cursor can be seamlessly moved between each display monitor passing keyboard control to that PC. This looks and feels the same as when moving the cursor between two monitors that are connected to any one PC.
KVM
KVM connections allow for viewing headless or remote PC display content on the Primary PC display monitor(s). Unlike Seamless connections, where you need to be able to see the monitors to interact with the connected PC, KVM-connected PCs can be in another room or any networked location.  When a connection is made, the remote PC display will be shown on the Primary PC monitor.
