Deactivating Multiplicity

Registrations for Multiplicity are per Primary; in other words, for every Primary PC you have in your network, a paid license is required.  There may be times when you will want to change a Primary to a Secondary and vice versa.

Before changing the Secondary to a Primary, you must first change the Primary to a Secondary via the toggle on the configuration menu:

You will be asked to confirm the change and if you want to deactivate that PC:

Clicking 'Yes' will deactivate that PC so that another PC can be promoted to a Primary.

If there has been a PC failure that prevented you from deactivating a Primary PC, when you promote the Secondary to a Primary, it will ask if you want to deactivate the existing Primary.

If you just want to deactivate the license outright, you can do so from the 'About' menu on the Primary PC and selecting the 'Change license' option and 'Deactivate Local Machine':
