Secondary Security Menu

Allow this computer to send the screen contents to another computer (KVM mode)

With this option enabled, this machine will be able to be configured for KVM mode and connected to from the Primary computer.

KVM control settings

Send desktop snapshots to remote computer connect screens when requested

When enabled, this will display a preview of the Secondary machine when KVM mode is entered into on the Primary.

Maximum snapshot update frequency

The slider will dictate the frequency that thumbnail-sized images are shown of the secondary when the Multiplicity sidebar is shown on the Primary.

Show indicator on screen when being controlled via KVM mode

Will show an indication on the Secondary that it is being controlled by a Primary at any given time.

Log connections to the event log

Will log all KVM connections to the Windows Event Log

Allow the use of a one-time code to connect

When enabled, and a remote KVM connection is manually initiated without a passcode via quick connect, the user of the Secondary is presented with a code to manually relay to the person on the Primary making the request.

The encryption codes need to match

Only allow connections from the subnet this computer is on

Will only allow connections to the Secondary from other Primary Multiplicity computers that are on the same IP subnet.

Only allow non-routeable IP Addresses (192.168.*.*, 10.*.*.* etc) to connect to this computer

This option will only allow connections from IP addresses in the following subnets:

IP Address Range

 Class

10.0.0.0 through 10.255.255.255

A

172.16.0.0 through 172.31.255.255

B

192.168.0.0 through 192.168.255.255

C

Only receive audio from computers on the same subnet as this computer

With this enabled, audio will only be received from a Multiplicity of the sender that is on the same subnet.

Change encryption key

This sets the encryption key that is used for every Multiplicity connected computer to secure data transfers.  This is a global setting and needs to be the same for the Primary and every connected Secondary.

Change passcode

If you do not wish to use the default assigned passcode, you can edit it to something of your choice (the passcode is case-sensitive).

Allow a remote computer to unlock this computer when unlocking the Primary

Enabling this option will allow the Primary PC to unlock the Secondary at the same time the Primary is unlocked.

Enter password to use

If the machine requires a password to unlock, it can be entered in here. If the machine does not use a password to unlock, this can be left blank.

This 'unlock' setting should not be confused with logging into a computer after a reboot (for example), something Multiplicity will not do.
